Dr. Geoffrey P. Carlson, O.D.

Graduated with distinction from Southern California College of Opometry in 1989. He has been in practice in Oroville since 1989 providing thorough examinations to meet the vision care of his patients. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, Golden Empire Optometric Society as well as active in church and community. Dr. Carlson professionaly and compassionately takes care of all eye health care needs as well as low vision patients. He offers full examinations and training on all appliances that best suit the patients needs. He manages pre and post operative care to patients that recieve lasik surgery. Dr. Carlson makes a point to stay up to date on all equipment that will assist in the best care possible for each patient. Patients have been known to say, "This is the most thorough eye examination I have ever had".

Debra Carlson, Office Manager

Debra has been a part of the practice for 20 years. She has completed many hours of continuing education courses and loves to put her knowledge to use to help patients feel like they've received wonderful service!

Karen Lower, Insurance Coordinator

Karen has been with Carlson Optometry, Inc. for 14 years. She has completed many hours of education and experience in insurance billing and also in all facets of the office. If we have questions, she is more than likely to have the answers. She has a warm and friendly personality and always willing to assist where needed.

Courtney Darnell-Optical Manager/Frame Stylist

She is very knowledgeable in lens materials that suit each patients needs, checks the perameter of eyewear from the lab to verify all is perfect and ready to meet or exceed the patients expectations. She has a great eye for fashion and a very friendly outgoing personality. She also customizes the fit of eyewear to each patient with professionalism and care.

Maile Hall-Front Office Coordinator

Maile has been with Carlson Optometry, Inc. Since August 2008. She is our front office patient coordinator. She greets our patients with knowledge and a friendly smile. She assists with obtaining insurance authorizations and keeping the flow of the office smooth and accommodating. She is also proficient in American Sign Language.

Laurie Carlson

Laurie is our Optometric Assistant.  She brings her bright smile and enthusiasm to help patients have a wonderful experience with their eye examination.  Laurie is the one that you will see for all the pre-examination tests and when needed the post examination tests as well.  She assists Dr. Carlson with all the technical documenting during your eye health visit.   

Laurie has been Optometric Assistant for two years and has participated in many continuing education classes to expand her knowledge to better assist our patients.
